Is it expensive? Are the costs too high? We need to be careful about what taxes and costs we pay. It’s like the analysis you do in stores for a product. It is necessary to choose the effective price-quality ratio.
Is there a 0% cost?
There is, but it is necessary to ask yourself what sustainability that platform has to offer you security for your investment. Analyze how much it costs to maintain a site – a platform, analyze how much advertising costs considering that advertising costs 30% of the price of any product.
There are also serious and good companies that do not advertise because they do not need to, but there are extremely large companies that did advertise at some point and now they no longer need to.
If you have not heard of a company, it is necessary to do market analysis and when you want to invest, you need to know what the capital market means, what investments entail.
It is normal to pay, but it is necessary to look for the ratio of high yield and low cost. Low cost, as Tony Robbins says, is below 1%. The maximum accepted is 1.5%. For more information you can find here: https://www.psihologiabanilor.ro/investitia-aceasta-este-prea-scumpa/
and to invest it is necessary to invest in the best solutions. You will find more information in books from abroad that you find in this article, such as Brian Tracy’s book: “The key to success is with you!” https://www.psihologiabanilor.ro/10-carti-de-educatie-financiara-care-iti-schimba-viata/
What are and what are not investments?
The Decalogue of Investments. Part 1.
Investments are not about losing money.
Investments are not about being trendy.
Investments are not everything.
Investments are not just about investing in yourself.
Investments are not made without savings.
Investments are not about putting all your eggs in one basket.
Investments are about diversification.
Investments are not about getting rich overnight.
Investments take time.
Investments do not require a lot of money.
Investing involves two very important resources that we all have: money and time.
Investment is not just speculation and trading.
Investment is both passive and active.
Investment is not about putting your hard-earned money to work for you so you can go to Bora Bora.
Investment does not get you luxury trips for 6 months a year, next year.
Investment generates money for your child’s education, for closing the loan, for a relaxing retirement from work at 55-60 years old and an additional income in retirement, compared to the pension that the state offers you at 70 years old.
Investments give you the necessary comfort that you can stop investing money at a certain point, but the money invested should give you the opportunity to stay unemployed for 3-6 months to look for something safe and much more profitable, but during that period it is necessary to support yourself from savings, and the money invested should multiply your money so that you can achieve your goal of retiring from work at 55-60 years old.
The Decalogue of Investments. Part 2.
Investments are made without involving the emotions of greed, fear.
Investments are not new and necessarily involve digitalization – the newest technology.
Investments are old and have a tradition in the wider world, in financially developed countries.
Investments target both financial investments, both the basic instruments of the economy, namely: stocks, bonds, government securities, and derivatives from the basic instruments: futures contracts, swaps, etc., but also businesses, real estate, commodities, currencies, collectibles, even loans and new investments, such as: virtual currencies.
Investments do not mean becoming an investor, but you can work in the field in which you went to school and allocate part of your income for your future and focus on becoming better and better in your field, and have your money work in parallel with you.
Investments are not about losing money, but about creating new sources of income.
Investments are about creating new sources of passive income that give you the opportunity to stop working, but not tomorrow or in 1-5 years.
Investments need money and about being patient.
The Decalogue of Investments. Part 3 and continues…and they are only a part
Investments are not ponzi schemes or frauds although there have been things like this in the history of our people and not only.
Investments have different degrees of risk. Investments involve one or two risks: the risk of fluctuating the price of the asset you bought, in which you invested and/or the risk of losing money because that asset may no longer have value over time.
Investments are not risky, not all involve the risk of losing money.
Investments are of three types: long-term, medium-term and short-term.
Investments made in the short term involve the highest risk compared to the others.
Investments can also be classified into: risky investments (risk of losing money) and risk-free (there is only a risk of fluctuation: the price of the asset you have invested in may increase or decrease in price, but it remains a valuable asset).
Investments are also classified into: speculative and non-speculative.
Investments can also be volatile and non-volatile investments. You can buy assets that will no longer be valuable over time or that will retain their value, even appreciate in value, being considered much more valuable over time.
Investments involve emotions but also rationality. Most of the time an investor makes emotional decisions to the detriment of rationality.
Investments involve technical analysis and fundamental analysis.
Investment is not a savings account to withdraw when we have to pay for electricity, gas or changing curtains.
Investments are not about going on vacation every year, at least not at first.
Investments must aim for capitalized interest and respect the Dollar Cost Average principle. More about here: https://ovidiutarcu.ro/2021/07/01/ce-este-dollar-cost-averaging/
Are emotions about money or emotions?
From experience, I have noticed that investments are 20% about money, reason, calculations, returns and 80% about emotions.
The Psychology of Money and Investments
Money and our financial decisions have very little to do with reason, and more to do with emotions. Rather than explain it in words, I’ll let the chart below say as many words as I can about this “hot” topic of any period of our investment life.

Invest in yourself!
Investing in yourself means looking for information – principles that I have tried to include in the decalogue above and gaining the necessary ability to recognize a profitable investment for you, but also, most importantly: the right mindset for investing.
You do not have the right mindset for investing if you expect to invest 1000 euros and make 150,000 euros in 1-2 years. You don’t have the right mindset for investing if your financial goals are not correctly correlated with your needs and desires. It is necessary to acquire this mindset to invest in order to be able to invest effectively by correlating your financial goals with investments and make the best decisions. It is necessary to have this mindset in order to have the ability to effectively analyze the best solution for you, so that you don’t fall prey to the latest investment method and lose your money.
Invest on your own!
Even if you take a course, it doesn’t mean that you will earn money from the investments you make. It’s like graduating from college, only in a course you don’t study for 3 years, but for 3 months and I don’t know if you have encountered it in your field, but when you enter the workforce, in the field in which you studied for 3 years, even 5 with a master’s degree, it’s like you don’t know anything; you have vaguely heard of those concepts.
I recommend learning to invest and I appreciate your courage. You need to be careful! Not all investments are risky investments, losing all your money can happen, but it can happen that you make emotional decisions, instead of rational ones because you are alone: you make the decisions yourself: you don’t have another perspective.
There are not many, but there are variations of them.
I recommend that you talk to a specialist, make sure that he has an opinion in the field he represents and/or in relation to the product/products, respectively the investments he is talking about. Each expert has an identification code granted by the state, having specialized in a professional institution recognized by the state – the ISF (Institute for Financial Studies).
At the end of the article, I invite you to share it with your friends interested in investments and to ask me your questions regarding investments.
Also, please tell me what information you would like to see in the preface of a book about investments; what investment methods you have discovered or heard about that I should explain in the book that will be published by the end of this year, and I hereby make a promise to you that this book will be ready, although it has been started for several years. I ask you what you want to learn from the book, about what methods, because it is almost ready: it has 90% of the information already prepared for you, and if there is anything to add, I can add it in due time.
